Words have been circulating around our small & homely office that a company trip might be well in the pipeline.
It all happened one morning when I sauntered airily (and slightly late too) into the studio one boring morning and found Steven, Mala and Nazha talking excitedly about something on The Star. Turned out it was the hotter than hot deal from Air Asia - the 1 million free air tickets giveaway.
Initially the first choice falls on Bangkok. However, Pauline (the lady boss) suggested to go somewhere cool and not so tropical. Thus, another two options came up: Perth & Korea. Well, those two are definitely not my cup of tea on the financial front. The calculation goes something like this; for Bangkok, it'll be around RM500 per pax including accommodation. The company will probably absorb all that and all I need 2 bring will basically be myself, 2 big bags (for shopping goodies) and some pocket money. Well, I can at least fork out RM400 as expense since the trip will probably be in April.
However, for Perth or Korea, we'd most definitely have to top up half of the cost PLUS pocket money! For those 2 options, it'll cost around 1k per pax so I'd have to squeeze like 500-600 bucks and also the spending money. God, where am I gonna get that kinda $$$??!?
